RC4 is the third residential college in UTown to offer the University Town College Programme (UTCP).
Residential College 4 is located in NUS University Town, and offers undergraduate students the opportunity to combine the vibrancy of campus living with an exciting multidisciplinary academic programme.
Residential College 4 aims to integrate academic and personal life in a residential setting to develop systems thinking using interdisciplinary issues, foster all round student development through in and out-of-class learning experiences and nurture a spirit of concern and care in students for all living beings and the environment.
RC4’s curriculum focuses on Systems
Thinking which involves understanding about
the interconnectedness of phenomena/
events/things, the “circular” & dynamic
nature of causes and effects and how such
understanding can be used to bring about
positive changes in the way we think and act.
It provides students with a new vantage point
for viewing the human condition that will
last them a lifetime, no matter what career
or calling they may choose to follow.
All students in RC4 will be assigned to a house. Each house will be headed by a Residential Fellow and a team of student leaders. Regular house-level activities will be organized to encourage bonding and cultivate a sense of house identity.
RC4 has five houses and they are named after constellations.
The Clubs and Societies cell of RC4's College Student Council works with all our Interest Groups and other student initiatives to gather residents with similar interests to bond through activities they love.
